Over the last several weeks my posts covered the 50th wedding anniversary of Nancy's sister Elaine and her husband Karl in Michigan, the 50th high school reunion of Nancy's cousin Joyce, and my 55th high school reunion. The last 2 were held in Pennsylvania. While there, we stayed with Nancy's cousin Becky and her husband Orville. We arrived at their house in time for dinner on a Saturday and said, with many thanks, goodbye on the following Saturday. That's 7 days and nights, well beyond Benjamin Franklin's social limit of 3 days.
It all began with an invitation from Becky to stay with them over the Labor Day weekend for the Gallitzin High homecoming. It was at that homecoming that Nancy's cousin Joyce and the graduating class of 1965 were recognized and honored. However, about 3 weeks before we left home, I found out that my high school class of 1960 was having a reunion on the weekend following Labor Day. We decided to attend my reunion and Orville insisted that we stay with them throughout the week. That's hospitality above and beyond. Here's a picture of special people, Becky and Orville with their daughter Erin, that I took at homecoming. Many, many thanks for their hospitality.
